The research unit conducts economic and financial reviews which are shared with investment advisers, the CRM Team, clients, prospects, and other interested parties. Our reliable research reports provide insight into the investment market and macroeconomic issues that can be used in taking financial and economic decisions

The long-term objective is to be a fully-fledged research institute/centre of international repute, conducting leading research on economic, financial markets, and investment industry in general.Using internal and external researchers, we  expect to carve an enviable industry niche, providing leading and cutting-edge advice to our clients and the general public. For our research agenda, we draw on senior advisors as well as selected internal researchers to provide advice, insight and guidance. All research is made available to business units throughout the company to create innovative products, solutions and services for the clients of IGS Financial Services Limited.

In addition to our investment management services, the company is licensed by the Securities & Exchange Commission to conduct investment research and publish research findings.

Publications

In November 2014, we commenced the publication of weekly investment updates in the Wednesday Edition of the Business & Financial Times in Ghana. However, our future publications will also include: economic policy and performance analysis, reviews, articles, occasional papers, investment updates, and special publications.

In  September 2016, the Research Department of IGS Financial Services commenced the publication of its sought-after weekly research report in the Graphic Business Newspaper, a member of the Graphic Communications Group. The report is published every week on Tuesdays and is expected to provide perceptive and well-researched content to readers of the Business Newspaper.Subsequently, our research reports have featured prominently in a number of online news portals

The Research Department has also begun the provision of daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly investment updates as well as commentaries on major economic and financial market developments to enable business leaders and executives’ access varying perspectives on economic and business trends for informed decisions.

Collaboration

There is a growing need for industry and academia to work together for mutual benefit, hence the research unit seeks to offer internship programs for selected students doing research in investment or financial economics.
