The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold the third Capital Market Conference on the theme: “Ghana Beyond Aid: The Role of the Capital Market,” to mark its 20th anniversary.

Mr Emmanuel Ashong-Katai, SEC Head of Policy, Research and IT, SEC in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday, said the Commission believed that Ghana Beyond Aid can only work when the capital market was used to raise capital for infrastructure development, industrialization and wealth creation.

He said the conference objectives was to undertake assessment and review the performance of SEC as a regulator of the country’s capital market; and to generate, sustain public, and investors interest in the securities industry.
