EOCO GRABS 2 FINANCE HOUSES DIRECTORS WITHOUT LICENSE

The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has caught 2 directors of Wealth Drive Ghana Limited for operating finance house without a license from the Bank of Ghana and the Securities Exchange Commission. The directors Michael Badu Mpere and Gideon Nketia were receiving deposits from the public without regulatory permits. The deputy director of EOCO in charge of operations, Mr. Samuel Nana Antwi, stated in an interview on Friday October 5, 2018 that after a thorough search of their offices, customer application forms and agreement certificates, a list of customer payment schedules were retrieved. Upon interrogation, they admitted to operating without a license from SEC and BOG and indicated that Wealth Drive Ghana is a subsidiary of Wealth Drive South Africa.
